Every Michi tutor sits in a verified experience band with a fixed hourly rate. What you see here is what the invoice uses, no packages, no hidden fees.
Tutor bands
Rates are per 60-minute lesson hour. A tutor's band reflects verified IB results and teaching experience.

Subject premiums
A small premium applies for high-demand subjects taught by qualified tutors.
- Math AA HL, Physics HL, Chemistry HL, CS HL, Further Math+¥1,500 per hour
- Math AI HL, Biology HL, Economics HL, English A HL+¥1,000 per hour
- Other HL subjects; sciences and math at SL+¥500 per hour
- Business, ESS, Language B, humanities and arts SL+¥0 per hour
- EE supervision, IA rescue, TOK essay (any subject)+¥1,500 flat
How billing works
- Lessons are billed after they happen, one consolidated invoice per family after each month closes (Japan time).
- Invoices are payable online and due within 7 days.
- Cancellations before the lesson are free; you are never charged for a lesson that did not happen.
- No subscriptions, no lesson packages, no sign-up fees.
