Your first 60-minute lesson is free

A timely cancellation returns the coupon. A late cancellation or no-show uses it, and you still pay ¥0.
Book your free first lessonRefer a family
When a family you invite completes their free first lesson and its report is delivered, you receive a free 60-minute lesson with any eligible tutor and subject, to start within 60 days. Share your invitation link from Settings; the family adds your code before booking their free lesson. There is no limit on how many families you can invite.
Changes and cancellations
Times are counted from the scheduled start of the lesson. These are the same rules as section 7 of our Terms of Service.
| BEFORE THE START | RESCHEDULE | CANCEL |
|---|---|---|
| More than 12 hours | Free, as often as you need | Free |
| 2 to 12 hours | Request only: the tutor must accept. If they decline, it counts as a cancellation. | 50% of the lesson price |
| Less than 2 hours | Not available | 100% of the lesson price |
| No-show (not cancelled) | — | 100% of the lesson price |
- Running late: if the student joins within 15 minutes of the start, the lesson goes ahead (the tutor may extend it but does not have to). After 15 minutes the tutor may record the lesson as not attended and the full price is charged. If the student is on the way, message the tutor through MichiEdu before then; the tutor will normally wait.
- If the tutor cancels or does not attend, you are not charged, and we reschedule at no cost with the same tutor or a different one, whichever you prefer.
- If neither side joins, or a technical failure on our side stops the lesson, there is no charge.
