Getting startedHow do I get started?
Sign up takes two minutes at most: your subjects, SL/HL, year, availability, and preferred language (Japanese, English, or Chinese). You can then book a trial lesson.

Tutors teach in Japanese, English, or Chinese depending on the tutor. Each tutor profile lists the languages they teach in.
Tutors & qualityWho are the tutors?
Tutors with reviewed profiles and supporting academic evidence in the subjects they teach. Every profile is reviewed by the MichiEdu team before it is published.
Tutors & qualityHow am I matched with a tutor?
You can browse and choose freely, or ask MichiEdu to review your subjects, level, language, goals, availability, and preferred teaching style before suggesting a tutor.
Lessons & reportsWhat happens after each lesson?
Your tutor writes a session summary covering what was taught, homework, and next steps. It appears in the student dashboard for the family to review.
Pricing & paymentsAre the prices shown here fixed?
No. The pricing table shows reference rates. The booking flow shows the applicable amount before a lesson is confirmed.

MichiEdu reviews each tutor individually. Relevant experience, subject and level, and the type of support a student needs can all affect the lesson rate.
Pricing & paymentsWhat are the reference rates by band?
The current IB, Pre-IB, and SAT reference bands are listed on the Pricing page. These are reference rates, not fixed prices.
Pricing & paymentsHow do I pay?
Lesson payments are processed securely through Stripe using the payment flow shown during booking. You see the applicable amount before payment is confirmed.
Pricing & paymentsI want to tutor. Is the pricing table what I would earn?
No. Student lesson rates and tutor terms are confirmed separately. Public reference rates do not guarantee tutor compensation.
