After your account is created, we'll ask a few quick questions about your IB studies, grade, subjects, and goals. About a minute.

If you are matched with a tutor outside Japan, we share your name, year group, subjects and levels, goals, and session records with that tutor so the tutor can teach effectively.
Our tutors are currently located in: Cairo, Canada, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
Some of our technology providers also store information outside Japan, in the United States.

You can ask to be matched only with tutors located in Japan. This will reduce the number of tutors available to you.
Every session on MichiEdu is recorded and transcribed.
We do this to keep students safe, to check teaching quality, to resolve any disagreement about what happened in a session, and to improve our service, including developing the AI systems that support tutoring and academic guidance.
Only named members of the MichiEdu team can access recordings. We keep transcripts for 5 years and any video recording for 90 days.
You can ask us to delete a specific recording at any time.
